USJC Signs Corporate Location Agreement with Kuwana City and Mie Prefecture
United Semiconductor Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “USJC”), Kuwana City, and Mie Prefecture announced they have signed a corporate location agreement on February 2, 2026.
In response to the growing demand for semiconductor manufacturing in Japan, USJC will enhance its manufacturing equipment and in-factory transport systems within Mie Plant. USJC aims to increase its production capacity by approximately 3,000 wafers per month by 2029.
By increasing manufacturing capacity, USJC aims to improve semiconductor supply capabilities, promote regional industrial development, and advance the development of semiconductor talents, thereby contributing to the further development of the local community.
