Women’s Empowerment Event “USJC MIMOSA DAY 2026”

On March 8, USJC held a women’s empowerment event “USJC MIMOSA DAY 2026” at Mie Plant. This event, aligned with International Women’s Day, featured a charity market and a workshop based on the International Women’s Day theme “Give to Gain” and UMC’s theme “Women × Public Good.”

At the charity market, bamboo products crafted by the NPO Kuwana Taketori Monogatari, made from bamboo harvested during the maintenance of abandoned bamboo groves in Kuwana City, and animal art cookies by Kurimaro Co., Ltd were sold. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Kuwana City to support women’s empowerment initiatives. Additionally, President Kurita of Kurimaro Co., Ltd. gave a lecture and workshop on the theme of “Biodiversity”.

Kuwana City Mayor Narutaka Ito also participated in the event and took photos with the employees.
Mayor Ito commented, “This is my first time participating in an International Women’s Day event, and I am very pleased to be invited. Kuwana City is actively promoting a community where women can thrive and be energetic, and I want to work together with everyone to create such a community.”

USJC will continue to collaborate with Kuwana City and local companies to contribute to the community through various activities.
