On July 31, 2026, a summer holiday event for elementary school students, “Science Craft Workshop for Parents and Children,” was held at Kuwana City Hall, Mie Prefecture. USJC’s fab is in the city, and we hosted this event together with Kuwana City and Kuwana association of invention and innovation. The event was held for the third consecutive year.

A total of 55 pairs of participants enjoyed crafts while learning about semiconductors under the guidance of lecturers from Aichi Institute of Technology, Mie University, and National Institute of Technology, Gifu College. The event consisted of 2 parts: morning session for lower grades and afternoon session for upper grades.

In order to develop next generation of high performing individuals in the semiconductor industry, we will continue to promote efforts to deepen interest in and understanding of semiconductors.
